After listening to tonight's webinar I've decided to write here and let my fellow writers be part of my story (I mean, we always do that when we have a problem, maybe we should do the same when something goes well, it would definitely spark some hope!). Last year I was going through a rough patch (received a few no and rejections are not so easy to face), nearly lost hope then I got an email about a competition for the European Genre Forum. I sent my script, even if without too much conviction, and to my great surprise it was selected: one of only 8 projects from all over Europe (out of literally hundred of thousands)! I was then invited to participate to incredibly useful masterclasses and seminars in three different cities in Europe, happening at the same time as very well known Genre Film Festivals. The last one was in Tallin, Estonia, and we were taught the 'perfect pitch technique' by one of the best pitch masters in Europe. I had a chance to pitch my script in front of a huge industry audience and...The pitch went so well I was contacted by a couple of Producers (Serbia and Croatia) who are now my co-producers, by one of the main sales and distribution company in Europe, Elle Driver (they asked to read my script!!!), by a few well established actors from around Europe and even an investor from Los Angeles (for €200,000). I am over the moon and I think I should share this with you, because if it happened to me it can happen to you!!! Keep up the great work and keep fighting!
