During the pandemic, when we had nothing new to watch, I decided to write my own. I spent months learning from MasterClasses: Neil Gaiman, Shonda Rhimes, James Patterson, Ron Howard, Spike Lee, Lavar Burton, to name a few.
To my surprise, writing came as a relaxation tool. It has become my escape from a hectic world.
Comedy is my preferred genre. I've written a screenplay and sitcom in this genre. To challenge myself, I stepped outside of my comfort zone. My current project is an inspirational / religious (true story) screenplay. I'm glad I challenged my this way. I see my writing improving exponentially.
Good for you, Ginger! Writing is a way for me to stretch my creative muscles when I'm not punching a clock. Happy writing and welcome!

Welcome to Stage 32 - so happy for you and your new found passion! What's your favorite log line for a script you have written?

Cherelynn, my absolute favorite is the sitcom, Table 69. I do not have a strong log line yet, other than "something always goes wrong at Table 69". I love to laugh so when I have a stressful week and need an escape, I write an episode of Table 69.

Hi @Ginger Welcome, it’s lucky you find it easy to write comedy, I wrote a couple but they did not come easy. For situation comedy you at least have to make reader laugh inside even if they don’t outwardly roar with laughter.
