Folks, I want to share something very exciting with you. As you know, Stage 32 is an industry leader in democratizing the entertainment industry. In fact, a project found on Stage 32 wrapped production in December and is premiering on Tubi in April. More on that soon!
But in the meantime, the Stage 32 Script Services division continues to field calls from Producers looking for material from our community. In particular - an executive at the company behind smash hits LA LA LAND and CRUELLA reached out requesting we bring them scripts for their latest mandate.
They are bypassing the agencies and going straight to the Stage 32 team! And we're bringing this opportunity exclusively to the members of the Writers' Room. It drops Thursday! ONLY for members! Not a member yet? Email me at j.mirch@stage32.com
Democratizing is another term for Woke. "I'm Out." How much money do you people have to lose to realize "Get Woke, Go Broke is the truth. Give people back their Escapism.

???? What? lol Sean McCormick
Democracy is an integral part of the US Constitution and American history. Whatever "woke" actually means on the political right, I see nothing wrong with democratizing opportunity, lowering barriers to entry, opening doors to more people.
Right opening doors to people that only believe what you agree on. Democracy is "We The People." Not just one side and not agreeing with the other side. Hypocrite. Not that I care about politics anyways.

I took this as meaning an open opportunity for everyone - where you can submit a script without an agent behind it. Democracy does not mean "Woke" either from the left or the right.

The longer I stay on Stage 32 the more I understand why the industry is as closed off and secretive as it is. People are legit insane.
If any of you who have commented on this, don't like that this is for members of the writers room, then bypass it or join the writers room! It's not that hard to do. Throw negative energy out there, you're going to get negative energy back! Oh, and btw, I'm not a member of the writers room...yet.

Exciting Jason Mirch !! Thanks for sharing!
I didn't think the comments were about being in the writers room or not. Unless I read the original comment incorrectly.

Sean, you're entitled to your opinion. But please let's leave political emotions out of a wonderfully positive community like stage32! I didn't expect to see comments like that here.

Is there paperwork to sign before submitting? And are we submitting to the executive representing the company, or representing himself?
@Dan MaXx - good questions. If this is for "educational" purposes, it should be labeled as such. A producer accepting money to consider submissions is by definition unethical regardless of who the producer is representing. So the other question is, are the producers being paid to do this?
