Is there a writing group here on this platform? where people can share scripts experiences and have deadlines where we offer critique, help and connections to lift people up toward their dreams? :)
Well what do you say? Should we create our own lobby or page with in this platform? I’d love to have zoom calls and hear other peoples processes then share writing and give feed back what worked for the reader what didn’t. Then where to turn to see if producing the piece is possible. Be a resource for each other :)
I'm having a hard time creating an email on this platform. I guess I'll just ask, Jai JacksonAndrei SerbanAmy Mäki David Hall Ticiana Azevedo , if ya'll are serious. let's take the next step and use who we got and start soon. Please email me at drew@crockercreations.com. I'd love to start a writers group, but even more important, I'd love to start relationships where we build each other up. Thanks for your interest. And wish me luck on my verbal pitch with Molly Welsh - Sunday, July 17th · 3:10 PM. Trying to utilize this resource of Stage 32.
You can get a free month of the Writers' Room, Drew Crocker. Email Jason Mirch. j.mirch@stage32.com
The Writers' Room perks:
1) Attend live events with executives, managers, agents, etc.
2) Watch free webcasts (the webcasts are in the Vault)
3) Submit to Open Writing Assignments. You can pitch your scripts to production companies, producers, managers, etc. through the OWAs (and get hired for writing jobs).
4) Attend Writers' Room events such as the Pitch Tank Practice Sessions
Be careful what you ask for. As you see already there is a lot of interest in the concept along with those trying to 'sell' you something. It is important that you truly vet the participants. Make sure that they are at a pretty similar level of expertise and devotion to the goal. Otherwise you'll find yourself swamped with total noobs. The result with be total chaos and frustration. (tried it).
Hope your pitch goes well, man. As for me, I've been wanting to get involved in a writing group for years, but have never been able to connect with anyone. Hit me up, I'd love to talk!
Drew Crocker In addition to what Maurice mentioned, there are also groups and writing sessions already established for all members. You can join in and get all that you're asking for within there. Creating your own group is awesome too. :) Whichever works best for you. I hope you have an awesome pitch session!
Dark Comedy is my genre. And I'm writing a series. 2 episodes written, pilot shot already (and I understand it would need to be reshot a bit higher quality than I was able to achieve, but it is a great proof of concept and demonstration of the humor to expect from the series) and I have a solid season arc. Where would the dark comedy tv series lobby be? :)
A proof of concept will really help you when you pitch, Drew Crocker. I don't know any dark comedy lobbies or writing groups, but maybe a general writing group will work. You could check out Script Hive on Discord. https://discord.com/invite/screenwriting

@Eunhye Necee is that something that is with in this platform or is that a different platform?
What genre will the writing group be, Drew? Marvin Younathin recently started an Animation writing group. https://www.stage32.com/lounge/animation/Writers-group-for-animated-feat...
