Took time away to write more books. Still building my backlist. I'm trolling for other authors on here who are serious about adapting your books to screen. I write three subgenres under the romance umbrella: action advenure, thriller and romantic suspense, and romantic comedies. Would be fun to connect and share thoughts and ideas.

Excellent. Set a target to write 300,000 words in 2022 and exceeded it to hit 324,000. Resulted in 3 novels, 2 novellas and 5 short stories for anthologies. Still building backlist, but now have several books to adapt to film. I've come a long way from taking nearly 3 years to write and publish first book. Thank you for asking.

Sam Mannetti I sent you an email, we crossed the streams. Oh wait--we're not supposed to do that LOL.
You're welcome, LoLo Paige. Wow! 24,000 extra words! Congratulations on your progress! :D Is a backlist important?

The more books you write the more books you sell. Frontlist sells backlist. Screenwriting is a whole different thing. Word count doesn't matter. Pages and story matter.
Thanks, LoLo Paige. I learned a new language today. Book industry. :)

Hi LoLo Paige! I just adapted book 1 of my Looking for Sally series into a script, and I'm working on adapting two more of my books, it's a complicated mental exercise but an exciting adventure!

This is amazing LoLo paige, congratulations. I am a self-taught screenwriter, I usually write novels too. The understanding of writing a novel is more intense in script writing.

Wow Stephanie, that's fantastic! The more scripts we write, the easier it gets. I'll be starting my 4th one after the holidays. The first 3 were for practice and I received honorable mentions for them at film festivals, along with excellent notes that I can apply to future projects. It's super important to get those critiques and evaluations, to make our scripts the best they can be. I love my beta and ARC readers in Booklandia!
