It's a small thing, but our tv comedy pilot Kindred Spirits has recently had some recognition, making the quarterfinals of the Screencraft Comedy competition, and last week being a Finalist in the NYC Intl Screenplay Awards, for which we got our first laurel. Given this is the first screenplay I've finished (with Stage 32 colleague @Bryan Howell), I'm happy to see at least some folks think it's going in the right direction. Still in progress and the recognition helps boost our morale and keeps us working. :)

Thanks, Terri. It's definitely good to be getting work out there, but I also have no illusions that collecting laurels necessarily equals success. I've heard a lot of stories from folks who get crickets from producers, regardless of their pile of laurels. I try not to let that discourage me and spend as much time as possible writing and revising...:)
