Hi everyone, it's great to meet you all. I have been working with Stage 32 hearing pitches, doing consultations with writers, and teaching classes, since 2017. I have recently joined the ranks as a Thought Leader, so you'll be seeing my face around these parts much more often. Feel free to reach out with a comment if you have any questions! I'm always happy to help as much as possible.
I am currently working as a Literary Manager at Cartel Entertainment, representing writers in Film and TV. I have clients who have staffed on Reasonable Doubt, Ginny & Georgia, P-Valley, The Upshaws, Single Drunk Female, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, How We Roll, Hailey's On It, Grown-ish, and too many more to name them all. In the feature space, my client Alanna's sophomore feature had its theatrical release last year starring Anna Kendrick, and my client Tessa Scott is writing the third installment of the hit franchise she co-created for Lifetime, SINGLE BLACK FEMALE.
On Sundays, I'm teaching an 8-week feature writing class for Stage 32. It's safe to say that I love rolling up my sleeves and digging into story notes and the creative with writers. What questions do you have, and what webinars and classes would you like to see from me and other literary managers?
Congratulations on becoming a Thought Leader, Audrey Knox! I remember taking your "How To Write A Query Letter That Gets You Past The Gatekeepers" webinar. Incredible webinar! How about a webinar or class on the writer-manager relationship?

Maurice Vaughan Ooh that's a great idea. I bet I could talk about that and answer questions on it for an hour. Topics would include How Not To Annoy Your Manager, When to Fire Your Manager, and What is the best method of manager/client communication? I'll talk to Sam :)

These are great topics, Audrey Knox. I hear a lot of writers on here asking about the writer-manager relationship.

Hi everyone. I would just like to say that I have found a great source of information that is helping me improve my attempts at screen witing. As an author, I have found it far more demanding than writing stories.

Hi Audrey Knox! Nice to meet you! Thanks for all you do here. It's very cool that you're a Literary Manager. Are you really busy now that the WGA Strike is over?

Hey Audrey Knox Good to meet you. Tip of the hat to you for contributing to Stage 32, and for being an available gatekeeper for writers to have a chance to show their stuff. RB really managed to make technology useful in this realm, but it's only really possible because of folks like you who signed on. Cheers!

Dustin Richardson Yes, I have been so busy ever since the strike ended. Working on getting clients back to work, reading the spec scripts clients wrote during the strike, and taking out pitches and projects on behalf of clients. Now we are coming up on the traditional end-of-year/holiday season slow down. So, it's going to be fewer submissions and more reading/strategizing until the new year when things start to pick up again and projects are moving forward again.

Awesome Audrey. I had two separate consultations with Audrey, and she is great to work with and provides feedback that elevates your script.

Hi Audrey, I'm curious if you could give me any tips on finding an agent or manager for a project I've been working on for a while now. It's an epic sci-fi story set in the far future, and I already have 40 books published and 37 screenplays written in this sci-fi universe. The title is "Sojourn: What Dreams Await."

I'd really love to see someone shepherd an "Execs, Agents, and Managers Lounge." Have to provide the space or room/lounge before someone will enter it, right?. Proper etiquette and rules for this lounge a must, of course. Yes, managers, agents, execs are busy, yet, contributing their success for 15 min. a month on a S32 billboard lounge, popping in when they prefer, should not be too difficult an ask or solicit.
