@BILL LOL I did not get decorations & tree up this year cos was doing script reports (I don’t turn seasonal work down) & also finishing my own script/novel Noir. Even turned musicals Oliver & Sound Of Music on TV mute. (We get those 2 films every year UK) Managed to slug some Egg cocktail & mince pies & went pub Xmas lunch.
Never really believed in Christmas to be honest. I used to when I was a child, but now... I'm happy for people who still do though. It gives them something to believe in.
If it makes you happy, then do it, I say! :) The lighted tree helps me relax and lets my mind be creative, so I can't blame you if you still have your lights on the tree illuminating your home. :)
Richard Lamb Ha, Rich! Been there, Done that! Years ago, I kept the tree up for a year and a half while I was attentive in other matters, mostly focused on a divorce. Good News / Christmas Miracle: I was eventually awarded the house (during the housing boom of 2005) and everything in it. Sold it in 5 days.... Plus, I got to keep the tree! : ) Good times.
Arthur Payne Wonderful news, Art! Merry Christmas to you as well. Best of luck with the Christmas script! Hope it becomes a true MIRACLE for you and your creative efforts!
Asmaa Jamil Bravo, Asmaa! Not one, but TWO???? Fantastic! Is one a sequel, or are they two completely different stories? Here's hoping TWO MIRACLES come your way!
Marcel Jr. Thanks, Marcel. I do believe the disassembly will occur this weekend. Time for a nice break from writing as I focus on unleashing my new horror script to the competition circuit. Looking forward to sharing some good scares!! : )
Betty Dixson Thanks, Betty, for your Pro-Tree stance. Odd. All the wreaths came down from the windows just after Christmas. Ugggggh. I just hate to play favorites.
Bill Brock I only just saw this post, and it set my mind off on a tangent. The question of WILLING neglect in order to finish a script. For example, have you refused to wash, shave, leave the house until the draft is complete? Haha!
Adam Harper NEVER!!! Personal cleanliness and respectability in the hygiene department are top priorities in Brock World. I'm not one to write every day. I don't follow that philosophy. Never latched on to that "Do or Die" mentality when it comes to writing. I'm much more a fan of experiencing life and all that it entails, and through those experiences, an original idea for 110 pages is formed.

Think of the time you'll save in December if you just leave it there!

Pat Alexander HA! PAT! I recently completed my horror script, which now gives me ample time to take the old girl down-- All 12 feet of her!
