Please Help Me With My Logline

James Bond School For Boys

Logline:

At the prestigious James Bond School for Boys, JB, the illegitimate son of James Bond, navigates the elite spy training academy, kicking bullies' butts and uncovering dark secrets while defying his mother, Miss Moneypenny, MI6’s personal secretary.

THANK YOU!!

Miroslavas Siniavskis

Is it legal to have such schools these days? Maybe it should be somewhere in older history times too?

But from cinema fulfilment of it's own possibilities I would love to watch a pilot of such world to see whether I am moved to go on.

How about copyrights usage though? Will it not close all doors for pitching immediately? Better to steal ideas which are left to steal. For example I think McDonald's happy meal boxes are referring to some additional entertainment marketing possibilities making small theme park buildings for first few months as promotion for new cinema projects. Or even having unique entertainment using cinema theatre profit counting because of being everywhere around the world.

Also he feels to young to do all that.

Mark Deuce

Hello Miroslavas Siniavskis this school exists in secret.

Maurice Vaughan

How about this, Mark Deuce: At the prestigious James Bond School for Boys, the illegitimate son of James Bond navigates the elite spy training academy, kicking bullies' butts and uncovering dark secrets while defying his mother, MI6’s personal secretary.

Wal Friman

Think you might be a born entertainer Mark.

James Bond Junior defies his mother Miss Moneypenny, to keep his female class mates comfortable, while preventing a foreign government's attempt to destroy England’s finest elite spy academy.

Bill Albert

"Living up to your family name can always be difficult. When your father happens to have been a spy, a famous spy, you really can never say no." Nods to "The name's Bond, James Bond" and to the first James Bond film, Dr No.

Tom Lapke

I love this concept, but the Broccoli family is notoriously protective of the Bond Brand. Perhaps when writing you do so with that knowledge and craft it in a way to shift it away from the bond brand and into its own IP. I think a YA Bond-esque young spy in training coming into his own under the shadow of his famous spy father is just as interesting as slapping the Bond brand on it.

Mark Deuce

Love it Maurice Vaughan and thank you for the feedback.

Mark Deuce

Thankyoufor the feedback Wal Friman

Mark Deuce

Amazing feedback Bill Albert and thank you!!

Mark Deuce

The bond brand is in the public domain Tom Lapke and the books are free to use including the name in Canada and other countries. Cheers.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Mark Deuce. I didn't know James Bond was in public domain.

Mark Deuce

It sure is Maurice Vaughan and have a great week.

Maurice Vaughan

Thanks, Mark Deuce. Have a great week too.

Tom Lapke

Mark Deuce I had no idea so I looked it up. you are right, but with the caveat of only in Canada, and only under very specific circumstances.

Vikki Harris

A defiant James Bond, Jr. enrolls at the prestigious M16 spy academy only to uncover secrets and a sinister plot.

Sam Rivera

Mark Deuce

That is true Tom Lapke and why it has to be made in Canada. Have a great week!

Mark Deuce

LOVE IT Vikki Harris I am going to use yours and give you credit. Thanks again.

Mark Deuce

Thank you so much Sam Rivera

Vikki Harris

You are welcome Mark Deuce .

Anthony Moore

Try this - "At an elite spy training academy, the descendent of one its most illustrious graduates, discovers a dark secret which forces him use all his skills and training to defy his MI-6 agent mother while trying to thwart an international assassination."

Sam Sokolow

It's a super cool idea, Mark Deuce! I've had issues in the past with existing IP that's already in major play and you've found a great needle to thread by aiming this for Canada in the ways that it can happen. The publicity alone when MGM goes bonkers would be prodigious!

Matt Dycus

I love sci-fi, but the logline tells me nothing. 2/5.

Matt Dycus

Honestly, it should have been 1/5, but my dog just died and I'm feeling sentimental.

Maurice Vaughan

My condolences, Matt Dycus.

Mark Deuce

So sorry for your loss Matt Dycus and thank you for the feedback.

Mark Deuce

Thanks again Vikki Harris

Mark Deuce

I totally agree Sam Sokolow and hopefully it can be made into blockbuster in Canada with everyone watching. Cheers!

Rutger Oosterhoff

As said some years ago, write the screenplay Mark, if you're not able to, get a writing partner, that's how I do it. Good luck Rutger
