Say What? Your Pitch Deck Needs to Be Pictorially Perfect!

Hi Everybody! I am so confused. I finished my crime drama tv pilot and synopsis, then was told I need to create a pitch deck when a producer wants to see my work. But the Stage 32 pitch deck classe-even the one for people who are not technilogically adept--are way too graphic design for a writer like me. I mean, I do have seven books to my name so I'm not a complete dummy, but having to incorporate graphic design into my work is like learning a complete new set of skills! I feel frozen. Not sure what to do next. Please advise!

Hi, Jennie Spallone. There are talented graphic designers on Stage 32. You could post an ad on the Job Board (www.stage32.com/find-jobs).

GJ Harvey

Use a portrait template in PowerPoint and add some imagery generated from Copilot. Use a prompt like, "Create an image of a detective at crime scene." etc..

Stephen Hall

I did what GJ Harvey suggested. $20 per month for copilot and within 2 months I had all the imagery I needed. BUT it is a bit trial and error getting the right wording so a bit of patience is required. Copilot is also restrictive on certain words (especially linked to violence) so you'll have to be imaginative. Having something like photoshop or similar is also useful. I once generated a photo of 2 horses and there was 9 legs so I had to rub one out. Powerpoint will then enable you to create a slide show or pdf. For those that don't have a budget to hire graphic artists/designers this is an ideal option.

I will give it a try, GJ!

Leonardo Ramirez

After you've obtained the imagery, Jennie Spallone try Canva for the deck itself. https://www.canva.com/

Kiril Maksimoski

That's why there are graphic designers u pay and get your deck ready.

Daniel Broderick

Jennie, if you haven't followed one or more of the suggestions above, I would suggest you google Template for Show Bible. There are several sites that provide guidance and free templates. I incorporated one template into my Google Drive and it was incredibly easy (I, too, am not quite technologically adept). I'd be happy to send a copy to you just to see if it fits your project, but I'd need an e-mail address. Mine is danbroderick23@gmail.com.

Tom Lapke

If you can not find what you are looking for through the resources above, places like Fivver and Upwork are crawling with designers.

Eon C. Rambally

Will keep track of this.
