Hi Mary! Going to check you out.
Thank you Rome
My name is JerryDean Smith. I have a bachelors degree in computer science and engineering with a dual specialization in intelligent systems and games/simulations also a minor in mathematics. I have decided that I want to try my hand at acting.
Welcome to the jungle, JerryDean. Great to have you here.

If you know game theory, maybe you can figure out the human interactions that influence casting agents and "play" the system :P
Maybe we should talk.

In your structured world you must apply aspects in a defined order. In art you can do whatever makes the end result look good. This includes but not limited to colored saran-wrap over the lens of a camera for a 'certain-look'. Not sold in a camera shop, not in any syllabus, effective and sometimes used. Take some lessons, sign up for some plays and see how it goes... It's life, don't take it too seriously or you may miss it.
Welcome JerryDean! Good luck in all of your endeavors!
I would ask my accountant, if I had one.

I'd love to take a walk either behind the scenes or in front of the camera and better my skills. I'd love to be a part of any projects in the Tri-State or Philadelphia area in the near future, so keep me in mind!
awesome and welcome, hope you get an opportunity soon
Hey keep an eye on me I may have some job posting in the new year for crew.
I live and work in Georgia as a massage therapist. I am nationally certified as well as state licensed. I currently work for myself doing in home massage. I am very interested in working on film sets. For movies or tv or videos. If anyone is interested in hiring a massage therapist for set let me know.
I could use you today. :)
If you lived in ga I would hook u up.
I am working on a martial art film kinda like The Raid. I could use your services in the future.
Thanks sounds great. Keep me posted
If you had one actor throughout the history of cinema to headline your movie who would it be.
Marlon Brando
Cary Grant
I would have loved to work with Peter Sellers.
Jack Nicholson--no--Humphrey Bogart--no--Michael Douglas--no
Katharine Hepburn
Wow, up and coming world we live in.
Old article.
Strange, I don't generally get older news in my feed.
As the idea of suing gathers steam to other industries (now including Major League Baseball), who is going to want to take a chance on "hiring" the next intern? Or do you think this will just weed out the whiners? http://www.thewrap.com/media/article/interns-and-employers-face-brave-ne......

Well, I know one thing, if I ever get to the point where I have interns, I'm paying them, at least minimum wage. If someone is working they should be paid. Period.
Same here Jake free labor is not the way...people can't eat off swag.
duh. Y'all let it happen
This might even go for my Pinterest "You Can't Make This Stuff Up" board. Been an interesting story to follow, Debbie. Between that press junket video and now this, Willis hasn't had the best last few weeks...at least as far as his image is concerned.
It kind of sounds like he's become a legend in his own mind. :)
Maybe Bruce is going through the motion with all the action movies he has been in. Maybe he needs to take a break do a small film get away from the bloated action films for awhile.
The one time I met him he was very cool with me...ordered and handed me a drink and everything. Just sayin' from my experience he seemed pretty cool and not full of himself at all...

I am a recovering local TV creative professional... well, if the truth be told - it's been about 20 years, but once it's in your blood - it never leaves! I am currently the owner of a small Chapel Hill (NC) based marketing and creative agency that specializes in the kitchen & bath and home remodeling industry. I have a few concepts for "reality" (ugggg!) shows in that vein, but don't know how to move forward with the next steps - is this the right forum to find advice? And, I am open to project work, as the remodeling business took a tremendous hit! ...and me along with it.
Remodeling shows are popular, sounds like you could tie one in easily.
Just not sure what to do next... pitch to a production company? what about intellectual property rights for the concept(s)? anyone know how to guide me through the process?

Expand commentWrite a one sheet. Don't even worry about copyright for these concepts - its not the concept that's important (I've done and pitched a half dozen of these). What's important is the characters. Get a contract for exclusivity for all the talent you choose. Then shoot an episode. From that, do a two minute sizzle reel. Once you have that done, your next step is to find a rep. Most networks don't deal directly with creators at the initial stage anymore, as there are just too many of them. So they go through representatives that pre screen material.
thanks!
I think I might have some that could help that lives in Chapel Hill.
Coming soon in the coming months is TRIANGLE FILM COMMUNITY MIXER. This will be the place to be to mingle and talk with local filmmaker, production companies, producers, actors etc. Please stay tuned to this for updates from [919]ENTERTAINMENT.

He's a simple minded fix-it-all guy in a cul-de-sac neighborhood. Once Mama sets it in motion, he finishes the job. Killing all the neighbors, except for one little girl, his little friend. Years later when he retreats to the desert of AZ, she finds him, only to be overtaken by a raping-killing gang, pulling over to the side of Mile Marker 187! Part 2, will be JIm's revenge on that gang! We're including a short film, Marker 187, to show kind of the ending. We have currently, Sean Young attached to play Mama, Casper Van Dien to play Scott & with Gabrielle Stone to play Mary. We're in talks with Adrienne Barbeau. Let us know if this works for ya! The budget is great, possibly for both films! Please help by donating to my campaign http://igg.me/at/handyman/x/115433

Expand postDear Everybody, I need help. Here's the skinny: After extensive experience in the production of motion pictures, and on a parallel track as an instructor of the subject at various prestigious schools in Hollywood and abroad, I now need an outlet for my knowledge to keep it from ricocheting around in my brain. Originally from California, currently residing in Scottsdale, Arizona;--no, I'm not running from the law. However, being somewhat long in the tooth, I'm deemed unemployable even though I give good meetings. But look, I'm merely the old asshole now that I once avoided when I was a player. So I'm prepared to offer an overview of the complete production process, pro bono. That's the good news; the bad news is it has to be in Scottsdale/Phoenix. I refuse to engage in online education. Finally,as a means of keeping my sanity, I've been writing. Screenplays, both feature length and short, as well as short fiction pieces. Several of the latter have been published in literary magazines. Nevertheless, ironically, I'm illiterate (lazy?) when it comes to going public. Social media like, facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc., are all an anathema to me. So if there is a caregiver out there, or someone working on their karma, please get in touch. Aside from my "thank you's" I could repay the kindness with free consultation on writing--a subject I've taught with success. And that's the story. Thanks.
Good stuff Larry...too bad I'm in New York...if you come out this way perhaps we can meet.
Hi Larry - thanks for the smile and you're still a player, just playing now by your rules - congrats and hope to run into you along the way, you have much to share. All best, Sherry
Hi Larry - Thanks for the update. Since you are now, as Sherry so ably puts it, "Playing by your own rules," you might think about going the independent route. Good luck!
I would like to work with an old dog like yourself!
We would love to work with you! www.keegansmission.com

Rewritten. 'Rewrote' is not a word.

I met Katherine Heigl on the set of "your right mind" about two months ago. I actually thought she was a super nice person. I'm sure those rumors are valid but she was really nice to me anyways, It was fun working with her.

Expand commentlook, Laura Ann, if that stuff happened its unfortunate but this is not the place for it. And its all a bit much tk swallow. Quite frankly, you sound a little unstable to me and I probably wouldn't employ you either. And it has nothing to do with cancer or any of that. It has to do with the fact that you seem to be the kind of person who might be a legal handful on set. And its usually not worth the risk hiring someone like that, especially if you think everyones out to get you. For the record, Dempsey and Jason George are still on the show.
Not to mention that if you worked for them and sued them so many times, you'd probably know how to spell GREY'S correctly. sorry, but you kinda sound like a crackpot to me looking for anyway to get noticed. but that's just my knee jerk reaction to your posts.
