About Alexander

Alexander is a multi-disciplinary cinematographer based out of Los Angeles, CA. He has shot narratives, commercials, music videos, documentaries, corporate videos, and just about anything in between.

Alex credits his obsession with film to the 1993 classic Jurassic Park, or rather the behind the scenes documentary about the production he saw after. Twenty years after being terrified and fascinated by a big screen t-rex, Alex graduated from CSU Northridge with a degree in Film Production and Cinematography. Before and since, he has collaborated with a range of directors and artists, as well as commercial clients like NBC, Syfy, Golden Road and more to bring their visions to light.

Each project Alex takes on is viewed as a creative partnership and he strives not just to capture beautiful images, but tell the story in the best way possible. Alex doesn’t stick to one style throughout his work, but creates a look specific to each film. He views the cinematography as the narrator and allows it to act and react to the flow of the narrative.

Alex prides himself on his ability to problem solve, whether it be lighting a difficult space, working within a limited budget, or sourcing the perfect tools to push a project to the next level, even if it means building them himself. There’s no cinematographic challenge he can’t take on.
