Sid Patwa
Diversity Writer with 6 scripts (all finalists including Nicholl) and a short film (11 laurels)

Hi there! I'm Sid, Indian-American that writes minority driven comedy and dramedy. Not to toot my own horn (but I guess we all are here), but I started writing 3 years ago after 13 year in finance with no formal training, and have since amassed 6 scripts with 25+ competition awards, and a short film...

Hi Sid, Congrats on the awards. You must be an awesome writer! If you go to script services, it is an incredible place to read the bios of all the execs in Stage 32 and pick one that matches your need...

Sid Patwa
Comedy Writer with an Urban/Hip-Hop Sensibility

Just saying hello...I worked in finance for 15 years and finally decided to quit and pursue writing full time less than a year ago. I published a teen sci-fi novel (Beta Planet), and completed a teen hip-hop comedy feature script and two specs for Black-ish, and working on a pilot now. I'm also in a...

Great story, Sid. This world can always use more comedy! (Finance, too, but comedy is a lot more easily distributed.) ;-) Best of success!

Sid Patwa

thanks all!

No joke. This is my friend's manager's office.

I just saw this photo on Facebook. It's no joke. This is literally my friend's manager's office. Here's the caption that accompanies the Facebook post: "Here's a corner in a management office in Hollywood. And these are the scripts that had loglines interesting enough to find a place in this pile to...

To each his or her own, but I wouldn't want one of my scripts turned into a podcast. I'd rather sell it. As a screenplay. Like, a movie. ;-)

I remember the promise of "The Paperless Office" when the PC first hit the shelves. I actually find that pile slightly refreshing. It is a little smaller than I imagined and a lot smaller than everyon...

How Peter? What's the difference to reading a script or watching a podcast and how do you bring that to their attention? Personally I am thinking of making my comedy pilot into a webseries. Looking in...

Do we have an updated photo showing the pile increasing? I love to see photos of cubic meters of creativity.

Ha we were just discussing if this was a real photo or not! Or rather, if it really was of screenplays. Thanks for posting!

Sid Grey

Hi all, my name is Sid Grey and I too am new to this community. I have published a novel and written a low-concept 90's teen feature script that I want to try to pitch. It still needs a bit of work and I am looking for local los angeles comedy writers to partner with to help each other out. Also, I...

I sort of pitch it as Superbad + 8 Mile. A teen outcast in the 90's deals with disappointing his family, trying to save a doomed party by finding a secret stash of moonshine, and finally facing his nemesis in a freestyle rap battle in order to become legendary and get the girl.
