Was caught up in several emails and didn't have time to send an appropriate email letting you know a little bit about me. I'm mostly in the writing game right now with some ups and more downs but that's all a part of the business. Currently have Artisha Mann Cooper interested in directing a western I've done, but still in search of talent, producers, behind the scenes etc. As the process goes on, I feels like I'm really getting an education in all that it takes to put a project together. Hope you're doing well and stay in touch. Also have a Christmas fantasy and action comedy being pitched.

Rod, glad to have you join. It looks like you've got some irons in the fire. That's great. I'm sure that, as I've learned the more I've been pursuing that Screenwriters Guild card this business is about three things holding onto our faith, our friends, and belief in ourselves. Take care and continue to "write on"!

A lot of positive, inciteful information in a brief article. I enjoyed reading it as I continue to work on several new projects. I had an interesting "curve" when I decided to plunge into the screenwriting realm. My first project made it to the semi-finals of the Nicholl Fellowship Competition ( back when there weren't nearly as many entries ) and won a reading in LA at the American Film Institute Alumni Association monthly reading series in LA. So I had a couple of "Yes's" then a L-O-O-O-N-N-G-G stretch of "No's". Overall my writing "ride" has shown me I've found my niche. I love the comraderie, the days of creative plus' and even the days when I go back and delete pages that seem to be going in the wrong direction. I believe this in all areas of life, but see it so much in screenwriting: anyone (writer) who believes he (or she) has learned all they can is only setting themselves up for a fall. Keep up the enjoyable articles and "write on"!
