Hello! I’m looking to use education and creative arts to change the face of the way people look at mental illness. My career is dedicated to the marriage of mental health and entertainment, because creative and performing arts are one of the best treatments for mental illness that God ever created.
My business, Frank’s Acting, Improv, Inspiration, and Music (FAIIM) is how I mean to do this. I have created more than one way to make this happen. Thinking outside of the norm I have created a game, a trivia game, that will change the way people with and without mental illness look at how to recover.
I need people to help me complete the game, which is now in prototype, so that I can get funding for the effort. Then I need improvisers or actors, especially if you have a mental illness yourself, to help spread the game first to the Midwest and then across the nation.
I also would love to have input on some of my other projects. Some of them are based on actual events that have happened in my life. I have faced death several times. First at my own hand, then twice at the hands of others. I am a Christian and I believe that God’s hand was at work in all of that. I even had a plan to kill others, and I gave up that plan when God’s love broke through my hate of others and self.
The story of all of those happenings is a screenplay on which I have been working off and on for years. The business I operate, though it’s in the entertainment field, does not allow me to work on the idea full time. I do have a separate short film script about one of those incidents ready to go, if anyone in my network or otherwise would like to see it.
Thank you for your time reviewing my introduction!
