What places have you all found to be helpful to have a presence on? Have you found any benefit to having pages on IMDB Pro, Linked in, Coverfly or any other places or even a person web site?

I just got the news. Sci-Family is advancing to the Quarterfinalist round of The Script Lab Screenplay Contest.
That's great, Claudio Torres! Congratulations!

I'm just wondering how you all keep your flow. Does formatting get in the way of your progress or have you managed to create without outlining? What works for you? Writing is so beautiful, but sometimes I just can't get the words on the screen fast enough lol. Anyway would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions when you have the give a damn :)
Beautifully said! Thank you Jerry. I'm definitely going to explore the beat board more and I've already gone back to the script after your encouraging messages. Here we go :)
Good luck and keep us posted!
Certainly will.

No. Will it catapult your writing to another level? Ab-so-lutely.
There are only a few spots left to craft your female driven pilot in this hands on intensive lab with Colleen Labella.

Hey fellow 32ers and admin...I am getting extraordinary amounts of posts from spammers on my posts. All with the same freaking links. Anyone else experiencing this? What's going on?
Shellie Schmals this is the best platform - look at all the "famous" contacts we are making!
There's also the recruiting for the illuminati and they even have a gmail account :) Who knew?

Tried talking to Producers in LA, the UK, Hollywood, Spain......they all look at me as if I'm lying or making something up. There hasn't been ONE PERSON who has listened........listen man. I've been pitching this film remake ever since it kicked off in 2019. It's spiking again right now in 2022. There isn't one angle I haven't tried. It's a shame some of the 'established Producers' who promote themselves on Stage 32 don't read these columns.
Ok, Richard Harrison. I would definitely take Claudio Torres' advice. And keep pitching. There could be a "yes" out there....

The Entertainment Industry is NOT something you break into. Rather, it is an onion. You peel layers away as you approach the core of it. Sometimes the layers are bitter. Sometimes sweet. May you one day be at the heart of the onion. It sounds like you are on the right path - never give up.

I want to share a small success for my pilot SciFamily.
I just made the Red List on Coverfly. #15 on SciFi TV this month.
Since December last year, I have been pushing this pilot on contests, sending pitches, looking for producer/development and making improvements. This week after great coverage, I got on Coverfly's red list.
I know it is not an accolade, but it indicates that the pilot has potential.
I hope I can share some good news about this pilot soon.
Congratulations Claudio Torres Enjoy each win. Onward and upward.
Congrats! Have you submitted your script to the Family Friendly Contest? (assuming from the name it's a good fit) https://www.stage32.com/happy-writers/contests/2nd-Annual-Family-Friendl......

I am working on a new short and would like to receive feedback from the community for this logline:
"In a society controlled by a mighty A.I., a young professional gamer tries to find a way to fulfill his dream of working in an extinct job: a medical doctor."
This sounds futuristic, if it is I would open with set in list the year and the location. What is the plan to reach his goal of becoming a medical doctor?
If you can include what will get in his way and why it will raise the stakes and demonstrate why this goal is important (the AI may have replaced medical doctors with its own).
Seems to be a start. Now just let the readers know a little bit more about the obstacles he faces and the consequences involved.

But this play... whoooooo boy it's a struggle.
I've been commissioned to write a play about my personal experiences with things that happened in my past. And while I normally speak openly about them (I'm an activist, I give talks, I organise outreach programs, I work with charities), I am really really struggling to find the words this time.
That's a new experience for me.
I love writing plays in a different way than I love writing scripts or prose. It's just its own beast, its own completely unique adventure. And it holds a special place in my heart, because a play was the first thing I ever wrote... the first thing that was ever produced.
But I haven't written for the stage in so long.
So where is this coming from?
Is it (quite literally) stage fright? Is it that the material is too close to my heart? Is it a fear of failure because this commission means the actual WORLD to me?
how do you cope, and what are your go to methods to fight this?
Just the overview sounds very compelling. You must have an incredibly strong spirit. I would invite you to listen to my podcast which is linked on my bio. It has a lot of information about healing from trauma.

Second, I use automatic writing (just seat down, get a intro like "I was looking trhough the window..." And start writing what ever came to your mind during 5 minutes non-stop (even if you write things like, I am lost and dont know what to write). It works for me.
Hi Ronika Merl - how's your play coming along?

I signed on to IMDB Pro last year in hope of sending out query letters to managers / producers and received a few bites. Unfortunately, nothing materialized. Most likely won't renew.

By far, Stage 32 has given me the most connections and creative relationships. I've not tried Script Revolution yet but I hear good things. Considering trying IMDb Pro.
