Calgary Stage 32 Meetup for November 2023
We're hosting our in-person Stage 32 Meetup again in Calgary on Wednesday, November 15. This is another great opportunity to network and meet new local creative professionals and check in with community members you have already met and support each other. Stage 32 10th Annual Austin Film Festival Rooftop Bash!
Hey, Y'all!The Bash is BACK! Stage 32 is back at the Austin Film Festival - and to celebrate - you're invited to the 10th Annual Austin Film Festival Rooftop Bash on Friday, October 27th starting at 8:30pm. This year the event will take place on the exclusive rooftop bar of the Speakeasy, which overlooks the Warehouse District and beautiful Downtown Austin! And because it is only a few minutes walk from the Driskill Hotel - it is right in the heart of the AFF action. Come meet and mingle with your fellow Stage 32 members - along with members of the Stage 32 Team! Register now for an evening of celebration and conversation with your fellow creatives! Montana Screenwriting & Storycrafting Meetup
This is a monthly gathering in Flathead Valley (Kalispell) MT about the Art and Business of Screenwriting & Storycrafting -- skills, questions, feedback on projects, etc. It is by writers for writers. Led and facilitated by script and book author/editor and long-time Hollywood script consultant Barbara Schiffman, the group has been 'sponsored' since 2020 by Authors of the Flathead (a 35 year grassroots organization of writers in Flathead Valley MT - get info on AofF at www.authorsoftheflathead.org). Each monthly session focuses on a different screenwriting &/or storycrafting topic.There is no charge to attend and you do not need to be a member of Authors of the Flathead. We meet from 7:00-9:00pm on the 4th Thursday of the month. But we do not meet in November or December due to holiday weeks. In the summer -- April through October -- we meet in person in Kalispell (we currently use the classroom at a business owned by one of the AofF board members). In the winter -- January through March ("when the snow flies" as they say in these parts...) we meet on zoom. Let's come together in person ahead of this month's "Introduce Yourself Weekend" starting Friday, October 20th in our Introduce Yourself Lounge. While this is a great opportunity to network and meet new local creative professionals, this is also the best time to check in with community members you have already met and support each other. Join me, Ashley Smith, for an evening of fun and conversation with your fellow directors, screenwriters, producers, actors, cinematographers, editors, and other industry creatives at Speakeasy’s Music Lounge.
