Wrapped principal photography on "Night Train" (aka "Blowin' Smoke") and was reminded of how incredible our filmmaking family is. We started prepping this pig in May, and 80% of the project was shot on location taking our cast and much of the crew through several cities and different states for over six weeks. This was a very physical picture to make with lots of moving parts including fast cars, and faster motorcycles (at over 175 MPH) and the only injury sustained was a scratch on an actor's arm from a door he caught it on between takes. Although the first unit is wrapped, I look forward to our second unit work that lies ahead in the coming weeks. It was a huge relief to illude COVID once again (being our second production during this pandemic age) and it couldn't have been done without everyone following the guidelines and playing by the latest set of rules. We are exhausted but not beaten. We came out bruised but not battered and I just wanted to remind everyone that "it's only a movie" and how important it is to focus on the experience and relationships you forge during the process. This one will stay with me for quite some time and go down as one I will most certainly look back on with very fond memories and a great sense of pride knowing what we all accomplished due to a cast and crew who worked tirelessly for one goal: bagging the beast the best way we could. And boy did they ever!
