About Brenda

I grew up in a small town in rural Wisconsin where I only dreamed of working in TV & Film. Ray Bradbury changed my life when he invited me to participate in his Hollywood Emersion Program for TV & Film students.

I was part of the ABC Creative Marketing team writing/producing/creative directing, launching Desperate Housewives, The Good Doctor, Grey’s Anatomy, How To Get Away With Murder, Scandal, Lost, and The Oscars to name a few.

At the same time, I pursued long form storytelling. Writing scripts, essays, and wrote and produced a couple of award-winning short films.

My first feature documentary is currently streaming on OUT tv, Queer Church.

My scripted projects have attracted actors: Jaeden Martel, Ed Asner, Francois Chau, Marianne Muellerleile, Kim Rhodes.

I own A Bunch of Productions and have been focusing on developing shows and writing.

Mentoring people new to the industry is important to me. I was instrumental in developing a new Hollywood Emersion Program for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and created a scholarship fund for students pursuing a degree in TV & Film at UWO.

Hollywood is desperate for an action star that’s not a straight white male! Cast Michelle Ang, Celina Jade or any gun wielding Asian female newcomer who can kick ass in this amazing role. With an all Asian cast this series is sure to turn heads if executed properly. " “Action packed with hard hitting chase scenes and violence that leaves your stomach churning, 25 is a thriller not to be messed with. Adept at action scenes, the writer uses strong visual cues that are unique and twisted, evoking a sense of strange engagement as the audience follows along as voyeurs of the hunted.” “The writing is excellent - it's stylish, it's concise, and it moves at a very fast clip. The writer has done a fantastic job of making the action lines lyrical without adding too much flowery language that would otherwise bog down the script. It's great to see an action thriller centered on Asian American characters”
