Michael Mandaville here. I'm a Producer-Line Producer (PGA) and UPM (DGA).

Here's my philosophy and outlook: In today's media landscape, feature films have come under more and more Price Compression. Practical filmmaking to actually get a film made requires a creative, financial and logistical focus. I am working in a very practical world. Not the hazy world of "If you can only get $10 million, then I'm sure MY film will make $100 million!!!" Filmmaking is hard but incredibly rewarding work. If you actually want to make films happen, then working with budgets and value of the script and talent in relation to that budget can make the film happen.

You need to have a Schedule and Budget to know how much it will cost. A realistic idea on talent - putting Scarlet Johansen and Bradley Cooper on your talent list means that you'd better have a $60 Million Proof of Funds to get their attention.

I live in Los Angeles and have worked primarily in admin as an Assistant to a Producer/Director; to a VFX Consultant; to a VP, Business Affairs, etc.

I started out in Production, picked up work in music publishing and as a Contract Administrator at a labor union, but found that I really enjoyed Post after taking classes for the last two years, concentrating on the tech side.

I now have a certificate in Video Production and Digital Media. The work I am pursuing now is as a Post PA, then segueing into Asst. Post Production Coordinator and see where I go from there.

Hello all!

I am someone who has experience in the corporate and physical production side of the business.

I recently returned to school to upgrade my skills and now have more technical knowledge to include in my toolbox.

I hope to apply the newfound skills as an Assistant Post-Production Coordinator. I am also seeking work in production office and assisting in craft service. So, I am pretty much open.
