Ah well I could have waited on replies but after thinking it over and discussing it with my best friend I decided on my own to use the best I have for now and get professional pics done after. He reminded me with the cameras we used and things I was doing while improvising I need to use them pics regardless. Anybody want to throw in go ahead i have some things to do including profiling up and if not its fine I'll just erase this post a little later anyway

I have no idea about Shia LaBeef, but I find almost all forms of formal acting training to be so overcomplicated that it takes all the fun out of acting and turns it into a complex science problem. I mean method acting is about using your past experiences to fuel your acting emotions but the experiences we are using are in our imaginations. They are no longer real. So if you are using your imagination of something that actually happened, why not simply use your imagination on the piece you are working on. Simply imagine it is happening and trust your human instincts on how to react. I don't see how it is possible to both work from your memory and be present at the same time. No two situations are alike anyway, so how could using one past situation ever work in the current situation and why would you want to? That basically resigns you to never growing as a person. If my mother died five years ago, I'm not going to have the exact same reaction today because I am different. Frankly I think all the former Neighborhood Playhouse teachers would be rolling in their graves if they knew that today's teachers were simply regurgitating their old material without any attempt to refine and improve it. That was the whole point of going over and speaking to Stanislavski and then coming back to NYC. They sought to improve their teaching technique. So much has changed since then. What James Dean was doing looks foolish today. It is overdramatized so why are they teaching the same techniques today given that so much of acting has changed. I mean in many cases, actors are working off a green screen so they have to imagine what they are seeing. Are they now supposed to imagine what they are imagining? Acting is really simple if you just let it be. The biggest obstacle is trusting yourself. We all know how to react to any set of circumstances. It's called playing. The best actors are the best players and aren't all in their head thinking about results. I would also like to know what business it is of James Franco why Shia is behaving in any particular fashion in the first place and how can he possibly know the cause of that behavior? It's stupid speculation. I'm sure a psychiatrist couldn't even tell what's causing anyone's particular behavior because they can never know what all the inputs are that resulted in that behavior because they are never their to observe the inputs. They have to get the information from the patient themselves! How can you trust someone who is acting crazy to tell you the truth or how can you trust that their interpretation of what happened is actually what happened? Psychology and psychiatry are a joke! You might as well let the criminal tell his version of events and decide trials based only on that.

I totally agree with David Patrick. Acting is about believing you are another person. This simply means feeling what that person would feel. Children do this instinctively. it's called make believe. So many teachers teach because they can't make enough money acting because they're not good enough. They create these ridiculous techniques in order to justify their six week course. I actually feel myself get pulled out of my feelings when I read some of the shit on the internet. As human understanding of feeling has evolved, so has acting. When you watch some of the best TV now (Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, The Walking Dead, Mad Men, etc.), these people are simply feeling different human beings enough to make them believable. They are not Acting, they are Being. This is now being called organic acting. Give me a break. It's simply being real. Training is about removing fear so the person who wants to act can feel whoever the character is and not judge it. That's what children do. There is also something called cinematography technique in which only the best actors achieve: not blinking during closeups, running a counter internal dialogue so the camera picks up the conflict in the eyes, starting internal dialogue before the scene starts, etc. But none of that matters if the fundamental behavior of make believe isn't there. By the way, I was just on a set with James Franco. This man would not connect with anyone. Between takes he would pull out his cellphone and at times, hold up the entire crew. How's that for modern day narcissism?

1. Get busy living or get busy dying. At the beginning of the movie the partying cowboy Ron Woodroof is given a death sentence: he has full blown AIDS and 30 days to live. So, what does he do? He buys a bunch of coke and booze, hires some strippers, and parties balls. But quickly the reality of the situation sinks in, and soon he’s off on a quest to heal himself and others suffering from HIV. He ends up living years longer than his 30 days. * While none of us have (hopefully) been given a grim prognosis, the truth is that life is finite, and you just don’t know when it will end. So do you wanna spend your precious time complaining about the weather, or your apparent lack of men/money/or meaning? No, you don’t. So get busy living by hustling towards your dreams and loving the life you have, pronto. The clock is ticking. 2. Don’t take no for an answer. This movie was rejected a whopping 137 times. At various points Woody Harrelson, Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, and Gael García Bernal were signed on but all eventually dropped out. One week before filming was scheduled to begin, the investors dropped out. The director called Mcconaughey’s agents to say filming would have to be pushed back. Mcconaughey said no. He had another movie scheduled for the next year and he had already lost 50 pounds. This was it: now or never. Everyone started hustling and some rich Texans who were in the fertilizer business but wanted to break into movies put up the money. Filming took 25 days and was shot with no extra lights and a handheld camera. The movie has earned six Oscar nominations including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Original Screenplay. * Whether you want to start a blog, leave your job, or open a business, give yourself a date to launch and stick to it. 4. Everyone loves a comeback. Jared Leto and Matthew Mcconaughey might both win Oscars on Sunday. But until recently Matthew Mcconaughey may have been best known for playing the bongos stoned and naked, and Jared Leto for a TV series he starred in 20 years ago. *It ain’t over ’til it’s over. You will have many incarnations in your lifetime. So if you happen to feel like the best is behind you, trust me, you will rise (and fall) and rise again. You just gotta keep trying. Which brings us to our last point…. 5. Enjoy the process, let go of the results. In many interviews about the DBC, Matthew Mcconaughey has said this: “I enjoy the process of the making, and I’ve become much less result-oriented. Not just in making movies, but in my life as well.” After many years of forgettable Rom-Com’s, he wanted to start making movies he actually liked and which challenged him as an actor. So he set out to make DBC, not with accolades or money in mind. The irony is that he’s garnered more respect and praise than he ever has in his entire career. *The takeaway: Do what you love. Not with fame or fortune in mind, but because it makes you happy and it’s what you were born to do. Nurture and enjoy the process, and if success comes: awesome! If not, whatevs. You’re doing what you love. You’ve already won.

For modeling join the websites onemodelplace.com and modelmayhem.com its a good way to get experience. For acting get some experience checkout craigslist, actors access, some facebook groups, this website and you can find open auditions. Most of them wont pay anything but its something for your resume that an agent wants to see. Take good acting classes, talk to people in the classes about what agents are good, get refferals from them and join a talent agency. Once you do that your journey begins. At that point you need to get good at acting. Really good. Take classes, lots of them practice a lot and go to every audition you can find no matter what the part is. You get good by doing. Oh also read a ton of books on acting. Some of them have really great acting techniques from guys that were the worlds best teachers.

Hi Mike, do you want to be famous first, or really good at learning your craft? People can get famous for doing next to nothing of value, or from a negative contribution to life. Concentrate on being a really good actor, singer or model and dedicate yourself to putting in the learning and graft that it takes to get good at anything. Let fame take care of itself. Have you looked at the project creation options on here Crystal? There's lots of serious actors on here looking for work. Have you tries clicking on the magnifying glass by the search box a the top of the page? This will allow you to search for actors in a specific area :)

All i really have to credit at the moment is the music videos I did or was in but I retired from rap to pursue acting and everything about it. I put together some really cool scenes because the cameramen had no idea how to do anything other than use Sony Vegas to edit and how to hold a camera. That being said a lot of prople still liked the videos and i always directed the scenes and even got myself in other rappers videos to give them a concept. I am from Houston but willing to go to Portland or anywhere in the US right now to pursue my goal of becoming great at this so if you are interested in a try out from somebody who can improvise let me know and I will jump on a plane to Portland asap! The whole United States is a local zone as far as im concerned with the travelling options we have and I speak perfect English. I dont even know Spanish. Just throwing that out there because I am very hungry to jump into acting and I am a very loyal and respectful person. Either way good luck!

Im new to all of this but just to add to the discussion I wonder if its really that bad to portray the truth of whats going on? If its not true I would understand but what if said families want some truth out but don't want to be in the ad? I think this is a great question that I would like to see some opinions on myself.

That's a good question. That might make me question things also. I have mixed feelings about portraying a secretary in the past on We the People which no longer airs and my character won her case. It was improv/scripted combo and I was very real in it but alot of people don't realize alot of those court shows also use actors. It was a good acting exercise though.

As a former news reporter/editor and also have sold advertising as well that raises a whole other level regarding truth in advertising and the media. We have to consider the source and no ones perfect or "gets the word" as they say whoever they are.
