A friendly anthropomorphic fox teams with an optimistic fursuiting charity worker and his oddball friends to prove his humanity and earn British citizenship, whilst evading an elitist minister's wrath. PADDINGTON meets THE OUTLAWS.
SYNOPSIS:
2030 England. For five long years, the country recovers from Vulpis-21, aka āvulpine fluā.
When activist turned Salford MP JUSTIN CUDDLY succumbed as Patient Zero, the North was quarantined from the South by Project North Lockdown.
But things are getting ugly-cute, thanks to one extraordinary vulpine: FOX-21.
Rendered anthropomorphic by a freak incident with a vaccine and brain implant, Fox-21 can walk upright, understand English, and loves to learn.
Brilliant professor AKILAH MUNMI and civil servant ROBERT ROLO-BLAKE prepare to display their revolutionary project and vaccine to the government. What could go wrong?
Well…everything.
Accidentally herded from London to Salford, Fox-21 inadvertently causes chaos with humble fursuiting charity worker DANNY WALKER, destroying the re-election rally of pompous Independent MP KINGSLEY MESSER, who leads Parliament in crusading against āundesirablesā...and just so happens to be Danny's estranged father.
With Fox-21, Danny, and reluctant put-upon schoolmate MENA HAWKINS facing legal trouble in a packed courtroom, Akilah and Robert play their hand: Justin Cuddlyās concealed Hunting Act amendment, granting British citizenship to any animal proving humanity via The Humanity Trials.
Appointing his four human allies as guardians, Fox-21 takes Dannyās surname to be rechristened: Fox Walker.
Bound together, the crew endure many misadventures to complete the Trials, thwart Messer, and secure Foxās citizenship. In the process, this friendly fox may just inspire the crew to overcome their own glaring faults, and bring Danny closure with his villainous absent father...
Inspired by post-COVID mania, FOX WALKER blends dynamic live-action and animatronics to parody puppetry-driven childrenās TV. With violent slapstick, sci-fi logic and adult farce, this isnāt Sesame Street or Basil Brush; this is Paddington on speed. An undercurrent of biting satire skewers modern British sentiments: from politicians to police, conspiracy theorists to furries, nothing is safe.
But Fox Walker isnāt lacking emotional stakes: beneath the fur and farce lie timely themes of British identity, class warfare, discrimination and, above all, finding unity in our differences.

I think you should call it 'The Humanity Trials' and that court case proving that the fox is human is the part of the script that makes me think: this is a movie.

Thanks for the feedback Atar :) I did consider a movie angle, but thought it might be too similar to the 'Ted' franchise, so opted for a more long-form structure to open up character development and set-pieces.

Is Vupis-21 and Covid happening at the same time?
Hi Jo - I'd say Vulpis-21 is a sort-of stand-in for COVID :)
