I want to make it into a DVD with the menu option and subtitles included, so I'd like to know how to go about doing this.
? Allen, movie magic is scheduling software, not post.

I edit with Adobe CS6 and use After Effects for all my post production work. There are also encoding options in After Effects so you can set it up like a DVD.

Final Cut 7 is still used I call it old faithful (rendering blows on it). For quick projects I use FinalCutX but for a feature I would advice against it. Avid is the windows standard. I don't get why people say premiere. Yes, it is used but not as much as you think. It comes down to whatever you can get your hands on and you like!
I use Adobe Premiere Pro. Been using it since 1.5 I've tinkered around with Avid Media Composer but I like Premiere Pro better :)

It's live action webseries - the art work is concept art for the effects artist, and potential investors to look at -
looks super cool, i can do sculpting, zbrush modeling, casting, appliance and mechanic work (mostly cable puppets but i have some working knowledge of rod puppets.).
Thanks Chris, those skills could come in handy.
Cool Afonso, send me a direct email contact in a private message and I'll keep you in the loop as we develop it.
Great guy for you is Jason Milligan (818) 281-7857. He absolutely killed a Horror Western trailer we did, Silvermoon. All reen screen and he made it look so GOOD! Great guy too.

Also are business cards still viable self promotion? Thanks S32 members!
I have used both moo and vista print. I am very happy with both of these sites. Moo is a UK based business so it does take a little longer to get those if you live in the states
If interested, I have a discount code (10% off) for moo.com : http://www.moo.com/share/tc86k6
Search "Cheap business cards" and psprint has them for less than $25 for 1000 but only through the search link... full color, double sided!

Moo.com they're quality.

FCPX is robust and you can't beat it for the price I highly recommend buying motion with it for only $50.

I have Final Cut Pro. We used to edit on Premiere because one of my collaborators was a Windows-based video guy. And I do think Preniere is very good. But I'm a Mac/FCP person.

I use Lighworks Pro and Premiere Pro, never been an Apple user, so I 've never used FCP

I use FCPX 10.1 and love it. FCP has now re-emerged as a top notch product - most users of 7 will now be able to upgrade and be happy with the software. I used Premiere years ago, but I like FCPX much better. Especially on the new Mac Pro hardware.
