Congratulations on your fantastic script After All This Time reaching semi-finalist in the Romantic Comedy Contest!!!
What was your day job before becoming a screenwriter? And are you still working in that field or have you transitioned from the 9-5 day worker to full-time caffeinated, insomniac, first-draft procrastinator, rewrite-hater writer you've always wanted to be?
Also, have you ever written a character or a story based on your former career?
I'm all that! I think it's on the days I'm not sure my story is relevant and important.
Still at it. backend data management for real estate contracts for the mobile operator industry in Germany. Boom.
Now that's what I call excitement. :D
But it's a good job and I like it.
Accounting/Finance, mainly in science based industry. Great work, great people. Still writing is my passion.
Hi everyone!
I am getting ready to start my next pilot script, and I've narrowed it down to these 7 ideas.
Do any of them make you want to read?

Do any of them make you want to read?
1. A rock star joins a secret government agency that fights demonic possession.
2. A poor student deals drugs to both sides in a local Antifa/Nazi war for tuition money.
3. A teenage girl is haunted by the victims of her prison-warden ancestor.
4. An uptight young woman has to take a job at her parent's goth club after she fails out of law school.
5. A con woman takes a job as assistant to a mysterious consultant who can summon rain.
6. A teenager trades in his Nerf guns for real guns when his town is overrun with monsters.
7. A fastidious scientist accidentally discovers how to speak with dogs.
Thanks in advance!
Number 6, that could be a fun idea, it could be a spin on Tremors.
This fantastic Kim, congratulations! Looking forward to seeing your movies!
Thanks so much!

Hallmark movies got me through the worst of the pandemic. Fun to play “name that location” for the many shot in my hometown. Now they’re getting me through the rest of the pandemic. I’m digging the low-stakes, predictably happy endings and I’m loving how Hallmark is expanding. I’m also loving how other networks and steamers are stepping into the romcom space. Happy to connect with like-minded creatives.
Hi, Melissa. Happy writing. Wishing you every success!
Hi, Melissa McCabe (aka Missy Allardyce)/film fam. :) I read your bio. I really like it. It's full of energy and humor. How far along are you on your romcom script?
Great to connect with you, Missy.
Break a leg...but never a funny bone.

Sure, would love to check that out, see where you added those Joe.
Thanks Eric, this is a great template! I just tried making one the other day based on a 10 year old article by Jeffrey Scott. Yours is way better! I like the sounds of Joe's updates too. Please do post a link to your revision if you make one. Thank you!
Glad you find it useful Missy. I look forward to seeing Joe's keyboard shortcuts.
Ronika, you are an inspiration of resilience. I hope we get an update when BlackBird is released!
Absolutely you will! I hate bragging, but by gosh will I be bragging about any update!!! :D
Thank you for your kind words! It's just so unbelievable how friendly and encouraging everyone has been.
Sooooooper awesome Ronika!
