Really excited to share that my new screenplay, #hallmonitors, was requested by Scott Coffey. Sending a great big hug to Joey and his incredible team for all they do to make these script requests happen!

I was in school for 6 years, working close to full time for the second half of it. Though I may have had a bit of an extended stay, I used that time to learn as much as I could about my craft. In the last 8 months, I have completed scores for 12 short films from FSU's College of Motion Picture Arts. I use orchestral simulation software mostly from Quantum Leap/East West such as Hollywood Orchestra and others. I am currently learning more about electronic music with software like Massive and Iris 2. My preferred DAW is Cubase 8, but I am proficient in Protools, Ableton, Nuendo, and a few others (so is everyone else, I know). My influences vary from film composers such and Giacchino, Williams, and Zimmer to traditional ones such as Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Copland, and Vaughan Williams. I also enjoy contemporary styles like post-rock and fingerstyle guitar. Right now, I am listening to a lot of James Newton-Howard. I am always looking for new opportunities to work with talented filmmakers and game developers, so don't hesitate to reach out! Some of my work can be heard at soundcloud.com/zacstryker. Thank you for reading! Zac
Welcome
Thank you both! I'm still trying to get my bearings around here. I'd be interested in hearing more about what you do.
Welcome, good luck!
Did my first pitch by Skype to Tristar. Got the script requested. Will be booking many more pitches now. 8 minutes is also a good amount of time compared to other events where you only get 5 minutes. Thank you to Joey and his team. Highly recommend this to writers on Stage 32
Way to work!
I love those type of stories and how technology helped you pitch a story

Even though I had my pitch down to 1.5 minutes, it still didn't leave a lot of time to speak to the producer and answer his questions. But, there were a lot of writers there and the event probably would've lasted all day if the pitches were longer.
Thanks for the invite, Darren!

It's a crazy huge wall to climb why do it alone.
Thank you, I will :)
Terrific Introduce Yourself post, Susan. Congrats on all your success! Be sure to check out the Screenwriting section of the Lounge. Our screenwriting community is one of the most active on the site.
Hi Susan, It's a pleasure to meet you ! Looking forward to your wonderful stories. Sunny greetings from Mumbai, Katharina

I found myself on long airplane trips and spending many nights in my hotel room alone. I began writing short stories to entertain myself. More about me. I am a freelance author. I wrote a 250,000 plus first novel. I intended it to be made into a movie. Naturally nobody wanted it - too big these days. I chopped it up and made seven e-book size easy reads. I am learning about screenplays and want to write one for my story or for each book. If they suck, then I will get a pro to do it. I live at Rooster-Cat Ridge Farm with my wife and five performance (reining) horses. When not writing science fiction/fantasy novels and short stories, and learning to write screenplays, my wife and I grow organic vegetables, make and bottle fruit wine from our orchard, and grow hay for the horses. I distill the wine sometimes to make au de vin. We are self-sustaining. Mostly. My first novel, is part of a seven book series. I would give you the name but that isn't allowed. My hope is to sell the visual rights for my story. It has numerous international settings and I think the reader will enjoy meeting the many interesting foreign characters who play a part in the series. My favorite authors are Robert Jordan (deceased), George R.R. Martin (fat with GOT), Robert Ludlum (deceased), Clive Cussler, Brad Thor, Dan Brown and lately Veronica Roth and Suzanne Collins, because of their movies. I find when I can put a face to a character as I read a book, I enjoy the story more.
Hi Annaluisa - thank you for the well wishes. Best of luck with your work also. Have you published any novels available in the U.S.?
Not yet, I hope soon :)
OK. Keep me posted.

Went to a Stage 32 event and had lots to drink. I also met some great people. Hope to meet more. I look forward to talking and sharing. Thanks.
Welcome Darren!
Thank you!
My family comedy script was requested by Jordan Barel form the Paul Scheer Company. Joey and his crew are great. First by giving us writers the opportunity to pitch to the major companies and second they provide guidance for improving our pitching process. Take advantage of their coverage, conference calls with the executives and webinars.
Thanks, Marcia. You have done well with your scripts. Congratulations to you.
Thanks, Barbara! Very kind of you to say! Hopefully, you will have some good news to share soon! :)
Nice. Good luck.
Hello everyone, I'm just here to introduce myself. Glad to meet everyone on here! Steven
Hi Steven, I like your rustic beach photo in bio.
Thank you Debbie, it is a picture of a beach in California I took a few years ago.
Welcome
My name's William, but I go mostly by Bill. I've been an independent screenwriter for about ten years now. I have a few awards and honors, but haven't broken into the big-time yet! I hope to meet fellow artists to discuss our craft and maybe collaborate sometime. Glad to be a part of this, and look forward to meeting as many of you as I can.
Welcome to the show my friend.

Fill out your bio (what awards? what's the name of your film?), check out the amazing lounge discussions, consider doing a script swap or, if you can afford it, get a stage32 executive to read it, and, most importantly, post your loglines for all your finished specs. CHEERS!
Thanks everyone! And thanks, Sarah, will do!
