No Film School is one of my most frequent go tos. Good variety of topics. https://nofilmschool.com
I like Deadline, Variety (I also like getting the print copy because it’s just perfect bedtime reading material size) and The Hollywood Reporter.

Hi Shane, there are a Variety of plugins for various Software , premier pro has a default adaptive denoiser which is fairly simple and offers a few tweaking options. For more advanced reductions and better analytics you may need to look further and will cost.
Depending on the severity of the issues, it's very very worth it to find a pro and pay them to do it. I taught myself sound to finish my no-budget feature and that was a rough experience. If you need...
Expand commentDepending on the severity of the issues, it's very very worth it to find a pro and pay them to do it. I taught myself sound to finish my no-budget feature and that was a rough experience. If you need to do it yourself, then you need a proper audio editing platform like Adobe Audition (since you're already looking at Premiere), or Logic, or ProTools. I've had great results cleaning up with iZotope's RX software.
Adobe Premier has 4 good ones I have had to work miracles with. De-hummer, Adaptive noise reduction, parametric equalizer and multi-band compressor. I would find some bad audio and try them all there are tons of tweaks you can do with them.
I've just spotted this. Doubtless I'm too late now, but I help repair audio including de-noising. If I can help out please do get in touch.
For noise reduction, the best software I know is Izotope RX pro. I think they are on nb 8 now. It can work as a plugin in your DAW.

Expand commentHayward, I don't know what to say..I didn't think about what were my thoughts about this. I watched the video because I like this film of Stanley Kubrick (I don't know if I am right, but I think that this movie shows a big part of the reality from those moments and places in history..maybe if a person who lived in those times would see the movie, he would say that this is accurate with many things..only some little mistakes..I think that it means something if you can show how it really was and not make a film that leaves the impression that you are watching a movie about modern times with people dressed in historical costumes..only if it's intentionally made like this and you have some artistic purposes). I like to watch and learn from how movies were made, I want to be inspired from great things, because I want to make great things (if I can say - "in my own way", "in my vision"). I started sharing things, because I understood that if you want to make connections you have to tell about yourself (bio, links to social media), share things (people see what you like, maybe they are interested in similar things and would want to work with you in the future). I share also because I think this sharing is a good thing - not being selfish, not keeping things to yourself, show to other people too - maybe they can get a benefit from that; share also things that you are not so interested in..if you think it's good stuff, share it for other people who might be more interested..
Really interesting look at how the film was shot. Thanks for sharing!

Expand commentFirst piece of advice: no matter the need to cut corners with the budget, try to avoid cutting the meals and crafty budget. But in terms of practical advice, meals that don't have a lot of overhead/prep (like lasagne, a stew, chili etc.) is a good bet. For crafty, just have a good selection. Crafty's cheap, after all. Include fresh fruit and veg, granola bars, muffins (preferable snack size), candy and such. Some crew members like your camera department might not even have time for lunch, so giving them constant access to energy through crafty is super important. We often have plastic shot glasses that we put snacks into and have a PA (or the producer even) circulate with a tray as the crew works and can quickly get an energy boost from that lovely little cup full of goodies or a healthy treat.
