Thanks Elaine... Wowsers is right. Not sure what WTG means... but thanks. LOL. Yes, when I know I'll let you guys know... negotiations started. My agent said I'm allowed to discuss anything creative with the Producer... but NOT the business part. No complaints here. My first Option Agreement and just so you know... I thought it was great until my Agent pointed out the holes. Yup every man for themselves. hahahaha.

Wow, I love your story of staying true to your love. The restaurant looks wonderful. I'm sorry about the way you had to attain it and all the hardships along the way, but you were obviously not yet ready for you success in Hollywood. Thank you all... but guess what?... my Option Agreement will have to be postponed for 3 weeks. I've been invited to the Bahamas International Residency Program Dec 1-4 on the gorgeous island of Eleuthera to attend and workshop the same script that's being negotiated at this time. Holy Moly, when it rains it pours. I really really want to go. I placed as a quarter-finalist... they were announcing 6 winners to attend... and by inviting 6 more by 'invitation only' to attend I didn't think I stood a chance in hell... hundred of applicants I'm sure.... the other day I received the 'invite' by email. I'm over the moon. This year's mentors include: Vince Gerardis: Producer (HBO’s Games Of Thrones) Dan Guando: Weinstein Co. Executive Vice President of Acquisitions, Production & Development Elizabeth Hunter: Producer and Writer of such hit movies and TV shows as Jumping the Broom, Beauty Shop, Charmed and ER. Taylor Benzie: Literary Manager at Kaplan/Perrone Sean Covel: Film Producer (Napoleon Dynamite, Beneath, Cafe) Cameron Cubbison: co-founder of ScreenCraft, studio-trained development executive Matthew Helderman: CEO and co-founder at Buffalo 8 Productions and Bondit And, one more 'surprise' mentor to be announced. So what do you think folks? I feel it's an opportunity of a lifetime and I believe I should take it. Congratulations! Have fun! He will understand. Quick question. I recently started shopping my script. Can I sign as many option agreements thrown my way and how would you suggest I go about getting a name actor attached to the script? Thanks in advance.
Thanks Howard. I don't know the answer to that question. I prefer to stick with the creative side and my agent takes care of the business side. What I do know is make sure your script is well told, get coverage and/or consulting with executives... have your Logline and Synopsis ready, etc. Pitch through Joey Tuccio / Happy Writers. You can post your logline/synopsis on your wall here. It took me a while to finally get mine paid attention to. Ha! I thought mine was done after a couple of drafts. But no way Jose... without feedback you really don't see the forest for the trees.
