As a co-host of the Thursday Pitch Practice Tank sessions right here on Stage 32 (5:30 pm PT/8:30 pm ET), available to Writers Room members, I would invite you to join us and watch other attendees pitch their scripts. Lately, I've gotten lots of feedback, and it's causing stress. If you'd like to know some of what goes on in a writer's mind, here's my latest blog post. It's about my screenplay but applies to all authors no matter what they write. https://wayneturmel.com/the-stress-of-feedback/...

Hey Everyone, I'm David Seth Cohen. Love meeting creative people. Have a film that's completed on Amazon - After School Special, a film in post production - Finding Sandler, and a bunch of great projects in various development stages. Hit me up if you want to collaborate.
Cheers,
-David

My name is Dartel and I'm an actor/writer based in Brooklyn, NY. Have always been a writer but recently have been inspired to start updating some old scripts and even start writing some new ones. Love writing comedy and how you can bring the seriousness of the real world & infuse it with a joke to sort of break the ice. Anyway, looking forward to chopping it up with some like minded creatives!
Welcome Dartel McRae. This world needs more comedy. Looking forward to reading your profile.
Man, that sounds awesome, Dartel McRae. Sounds like I need to visit soon.
That sounds really awesome, Dartel McRae Welcome to the Stage32 family!
HI all. I"m a former standup who has written 15 books but am returning to something I did in the early 90s, writing spec scripts. Currently, i'm working on the screenplay of the first novel in my Johnny Lycan: Werewolf PI series. Looking to get smarter and meet fellow ink-stained wretches.
My transition into a full-time comic resulted from a typical mid-life crisis. Instead of abandoning everything for a younger woman, I did it for the quiet of life on the road.
Michael, my midlife crisis resulted in the first of my 6 novels. Writing The Count of the Sahara was way cheaper than a corvette or a cocktail waitress and the resulting divorce.
Welcome, welcome, Wayne Turmel!

I guess this is how women feel when they’re mansplained to haha
I’m not taking it personal. I just thought it was funny lol. There weren’t any comments about the story telling they just went into a long diatribe about the pharmacy industry and explained to me the updated technology
M LaVoie then technically “over exaggerated” and “unrealistic” shouldn’t be an issue then I would think lol
M LaVoie is a spot on. I mean why would I ever pay to see a white coat guy prescript drugs to old ladies and chronically ill? Now imagine same guy having, say vampires or werewolves for customers...ta...

...I suppose you have no experience selling drugs to vampires, yes? Jesus guys, don't make entertainment so hard and then wander why haven't you broke in...
Really, really rookie question. I have a low-budget horror script that I think has no fat on the bones but only comes in at 75 pages. I"m loathe (good writer word) to pad the scenes and slow the the action. How sacred is that 90-page mark?
Thanks,Maurice. I'll come off the ledge until I get more feedback on the quality of the darned thing :-)
You're welcome, Wayne Turmel. Did you get feedback through Stage 32's Script Services yet?
Not yet. It's in the plan
