Doug Walker comments: "if they had told us the same story but in a different order..." What about if Jen is the POV character? For me Chris Pratt in the first Act seems like Tom Hanks in "Cast Away". Switching that to Jen's POV? Intriguing. Perhaps more engaging. What do you think?
Damn. Now I'm wanting to see it from that perspective. Seems it would be more intriguing coming from that angle. Enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.
I think it was a great film killed by marketing. All the advertising painted like a thriller when it was just a good love story.
The audience that turned up hated it.

Someone explaining why they did a terrible deed is unlikely to garner much sympathy. Having the Chris Pratt scenes showed as a flashback has problems: It's either showed as him telling her about what he went through, why should she believe him, or as an accurate portrayal of what happened, takes away from her emotional impact of what happened. The last proposal for an ending would make for a good basis for a franchise or TV series. How different people react to a horrible situation.
I absolutely love this perspective!!!

Polarization is due to the controversial deception by Pratt. The script as written works fine. Audience reaction depends on how that deception is accepted.

I'm a massive Supernatural fan and I almost memorised the scripts for how many time I've read them and watched them. But there is one character that I loved and I would have loved to see their story, Eileen Leahy, the super badass deaf hunter. I'm writing HER hunting adventures before she met the boys.
Would anyone watch that? I don't know ...
James would you PLEASE stop smamming!!!!
Stage 32 deleted James' account, Lex.

You would need to buy the rights (or their permission) to sell a project based on a character from the show. Might be best as the others suggested to use this as a writing sample or fanfiction.
Sure, Lex! I'd watch.

My question is, if I send in a TV pilot containing characters that they already have the rights to... What happens? If hey like it would they just keep it and use it without involving me at all?

Did you re-sign-up for Stage 32? Your current profile says you've only been a member since January. Either way, I would definitely recommend fleshing out your profile so visiting members can better connect with you. Here is a recent blog on how to polish your profile: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Take-the-Work-Out-of-Networking-The-Importa...

Charlie, Gen, Rebecca - thank you all for jumping in and helping out! Do consider that this post is 7 years old, though, so keep in mind that the original inquiry is moot.
Kay, Gen found Gutenberg... seven years is a long wait to find that out! lol!

I'm receiving a lot of "don't even try" which I find very negative and creativity obstructing. Just because I wanna use a (minor) character from another show doen't make my writing less orginal. I think.
