A shipwrecked boy struggles to survive by himself on a remote Pacific island — until he encounters a prickly resident.

Whilst this animated film only received 3 stars out of 5 stars, I’m intrigued by the story enough to want to watch it unfold.

“Michael (the main character) actually tumbles overboard trying to save (his dog), which, because we’re not in talking-animal territory here, means there is very little dialo...

Kensuke's Kingdom looks incredible, Geoff Hall! I really like the animation style! I don't think I've seen the style before. I definitely plan on checking out this film!

Geoff Hall

Maurice Vaughan me too, Maurice. I’ve seen this 2D style before, but this one certainly has something extra. I’ll have to check out where we can see it.

Sam Sokolow

I haven't seen it but I am a believer in universal emotion and isolation and survivalism are two we can all understand. It's a classic 2D style but story over style always works IMO.

J.B. Smoove In Development on "High On Life" Animated Series

A successful game, a star's new shingle, and now a new animated series. The cross development of properties is always fascinating to me. Did Rick and Morty Surpass Futurama?

This video essay compares and contrasts Rick and Morty and Futurama to determine the best-animated sci-fi comedy series ever made. New tools in the pipeline :

ComfyUI with AnimateDiff and ControlNET let everyone create everything. I used my M1Max with 64GB RAM to create Personas first, then I selected (9 from 10 are trash) similar looking poses, created in Apple Motion animated pulsing Masks (Circle, Square, triangles) to feed the AnimateDiff Node in ComfyUI.

Mike Boas

Can you post some images so we can follow along? I don’t know most of what you just said, since I haven’t used that software. What’s a persona in this case? Are you doing character animation in Apple Motion, and the other programs are plugins?

Xteve Reimann

Hi Mike, I used Apple motion to create some simple looping black and white animations (circles, squares, triangles), to use them as a driving force for the morphing process in ComfyUI.

Your favortie animated movies and why?

I love animated movies, especially from the 80s and 90s. My favorite growing up was The Last Unicorn. It was the first piece of animation that, to my child brain, felt more for adults because of the complex ideas it was dealing with. I didn't understand them all at the time, but I could tell this wa...

Turning my upcoming dystopian feature into a graphic novel
