This workshop is for all theatre makers and story tellers to come together from different backgrounds (dance, acting, directing, choreographing, circus, clown, mime etc), in order to learn new tools for their professional performance toolkit. You will be able to find answers to these questions: What to do when you have zero inspiration?How to tell a story in a more interesting way?How does a performer enter a stage?How does a performer grab/take focus?How does a performer warm up their body from head to toe? Theatre Workshop “Physicality in Acting”
Hello Creative Minds! We are thrilled to invite you to our inaugural "Physicality in Acting" workshop in Berlin, taking place from January 8th to 12th, 2024! Dates: Monday, 08.01.2024 - Thursday, 11.01.2024, from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm Friday, 12.01.2024, from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm* Meet your mentor, Sergei Ostrenko, a seasoned Director, Choreographer, and Performance Teacher with over 30 years of experience. He has collaborated with diverse groups of performers across the globe, from Austria to the United Kingdom, bringing his expertise to both professional stages and educational settings. In this 5-day intensive workshop, Sergei will share his insights on becoming an effective performer, director, or choreographer. The focus will be on physical action, exploring the performer's body and inner action, drawing from Meyerhold's "Biomechanics," M. Chekhov's "Psychological Gesture," and Stanislavsky's "Physical Action." Expect hands-on experience with practical exercises, new insights, and intriguing challenges. The Working Language: The workshop's primary language is English. It is structured as a multidisciplinary intensive lab, promoting collaboration among performers from various techniques and cultural backgrounds. Winter Romance Screenwriters - December Meeting
About the group: Holiday Romance Writers: Have you written a holiday romance screenplay or two (or ten) -- or are thinking about one? Or do you want to improve your storytelling skills -- on the page &/or out loud? This is the group for you. This group will meet quarterly via zoom and will have discussion topics such as: movie breakdown, first pages, tropes and cliches, conflict, originality, etc. Led by author and screenwriter Rie Anders, each meeting will focus on one topic and is open to change based on participation. In addition, we are seeking to host Table Readings (out loud) of finished screenplays by member writers, for feedback and fun! Montana Screenwriting & Storycrafting Meetup
This is a monthly gathering in Flathead Valley (Kalispell) MT about the Art and Business of Screenwriting & Storycrafting -- skills, questions, feedback on projects, etc. It is by writers for writers. Led and facilitated by script and book author/editor and long-time Hollywood script consultant Barbara Schiffman, the group has been 'sponsored' since 2020 by Authors of the Flathead (a 35 year grassroots organization of writers in Flathead Valley MT - get info on AofF at www.authorsoftheflathead.org). Each monthly session focuses on a different screenwriting &/or storycrafting topic.There is no charge to attend and you do not need to be a member of Authors of the Flathead. We meet from 7:00-9:00pm on the 4th Thursday of the month. But we do not meet in November or December due to holiday weeks. In the summer -- April through October -- we meet in person in Kalispell (we currently use the classroom at a business owned by one of the AofF board members). In the winter -- January through March ("when the snow flies" as they say in these parts...) we meet on zoom.
