May I get an opinion on using this AI platform as a first-review feedback mechanism? I'm hearing both "really good idea" and "reallllllly bad idea"!

Expand commentLynelle Paulick and to all the people reading this blog. Based on my experience as a screenwriter and AI user, I can say that the future won’t be about creativity but about speed. In the sense that, given equal creative ability among screenwriters (with or without AI), the one who meets deadlines the fastest will be chosen. And when it comes to speed, artificial intelligence is truly an accelerator.
I was able to turn a 60-page film treatment into a 20-page screenplay outline in just half a day by using AI to condense the scenes. Of course, human supervision is and, in my opinion, will always remain essential.

I've saved hundreds of hours of manual effort in usng Text-to-Speech AI in turning already completed original screenplays into recorded drama podcasts, to test drive scripts on an audience as "table reads," with https://youtu.be/hSFJDAxJYXU if you're interested.
Greg, I'll check this out! Will let you know. Thanks.

These genres let me explore the shadows we carry, while also asking some big questions about what tomorrow’s technology might bring. My own mental health journey has shown me the power of creative expression—both on the page and in performance—to shine a light on feelings we often keep hidden.
In addition to writing, I’m also venturing into acting, excited to embody the characters who inhabit my stories. I believe that whether we’re penning scripts or stepping into a role, sharing authentic narratives can help us feel a little less alone in this big, complicated world. That’s why I’m here on Stage32: to connect with like-minded creatives, spark conversations, and hopefully collaborate on projects that push boundaries and minds alike. If you love delving into the darker side of drama, are intrigued by cutting-edge sci-fi concepts, or just want to chat about how mental health can influence our craft, I’d love to hear from you.
What an intro Joe Fox! It's great to meet you and love what you had to say about the human pscyhe!
Thank you to everyone for being so welcoming!
Welcome to our vast Stage32 international family of creatives! Happy networking!

I find collaborating with others makes script writing and outlining a more fulfilling process, and am looking for more to work with, whether for one of my stories or one of theirs. So if anyone is interested in finding a writing partner, let me know and we can strike up a conversation to see if we might work well together

And you made Play for Views and wrote five scripts. You're not aspiring. You're definitely a filmmaker and screenwriter. :D
Also, you could post your scripts to your profile. That way, more members can see them, and producers search profiles on here for projects. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your scripts on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)
You could also post your trailer on your profile. You can add them by moving your mouse over "Profile" on the bar near the top of Stage 32's homepage and click "Video/Audio." You can also post your trailer to your profile by moving your mouse over "Browse" on the same bar and clicking "Video."
welcome to stage 32 George Anderson
Welcome, George. Here if I can ever be of any support.

I like to break down the scene descriptively on what's going on in the scene. Someone pointed out that I am writing too much description/blocking and that it could stall the actors freedom in the scene. I like it cuz it reads very well as to what is going on and what we need to have for the show. Then when its time to film the actors can do what they want but this helps the director etc, know what we are looking for shots, etc. Any insights, thoughts?

If it is rougher and you need feedback on story then I recommend going with Peer- We have a great program called the Coverage Report if you are part of the Writer's Room, there is also swapping with people on Stage 32. If you want professional I recommend an executive script consult, it is similar to coverage but with the added perk of being in front of an industry exec and you can have a conversation with the person who read it and ask questions. Take a look at the different options in Script Services.

Script services here is a good place to start. You can choose from people actually working in the industry in different fields to find someone that can give feedback relevant to you.
is this normal? and what do you do to combat this?
I'm gradually compiling a group of like-minded beta readers who aren't afraid to give, and get, honest feedback (for free). It may be worth finding out what other people think of your script. Tell them not to pull any punches.
It’s very normal and happens with all art forms. Just take a break from it for a while, like a month or so, and when you come back you can see it with clearer eyes. You mainly feel that way right now because you’re still deeply connected to your work :)
Sometimes, it can be helpful to have someone else read things back to you. I find that it helps me reignite with the piece. If you have someone you trust who is a good speaker and adapts well with storytelling, have them read it to you like they are acting it out for you. Hope this helps :)

Can't remember that I have ever been in contact with such a company. Is it a scam or is it serious? And the subscripteen rate is odd because the normal thing would be to pay for coverage when one has a finisched screenplay, instead of paying per month.
If I am right, they are an AI feedback company.
It's always nice to have someone write something nice about what you do.
